Me and the Media

During my reading week (February 16 - February 22), I recorded my how much of my time was spent using various forms of technology and media. I was quite surprised to see how much of my life is consumed by the use technology as a form of entertainment.

This is the break down of my week:



Reading:
26 hours (Books and Magazines)

Listening to the Radio:
6.5 hours

Listening to Music:
15 hours (Though iTunes and my iPod)

Watching TV, DVD’s etc:
32 hours

E-mail:
1 hour (Received – 50, Sent – 7)

Surfing the Web and Social Media:
12 hours (surfing, facebook, and msn)


Playing Video Games:
4.5 hours


Cell phone: 56
minutes (Text Messages: Received – 12, Sent – 7)
